Acoustic Protection — Adipose Stock
Issued Noise-Cancelling Headwear Inadequate
The current NC-4 headwear is not sufficient in Bay C during hygiene, repositioning and delayed-feed periods. Several staff have reported headaches and ringing after late shifts.
Earplugs under the issued headwear are still not enough when multiple units begin vocalising at once. Please stop logging this as general environmental noise. It is stock vocalisation and the equipment needs to be rated for it.
Finding: Complaint substantiated. Measured peak exposure exceeded the comfort specification of NC-4 equipment during selected Bay C handling periods.
Action: NC-4 units replaced with active NC-7 acoustic-protection headwear. Continuous staff exposure in Bay C limited to 45 minutes pending installation of additional acoustic wall treatment.
Stock management: No change required. Adipose Stock welfare indicators and approved housing protocols remained within programme limits.
