Internal Shell Failure — Laying Stock
Clinical Summary
Oviposition Complication
Abnormal resistance was identified during scheduled oviposition. Clinical examination confirmed internal shell fracture. The affected stock was sedated and retained fragments were removed without further complication.
Analgesia and prophylactic treatment were administered. LS-4418 remained in recovery housing for seven days before gradual return to the production schedule.
Corrective Action
Shell-density supplementation was increased for the associated cohort and pre-lay mineral screening moved forward by twelve hours.
Welfare outcome: Full physical recovery recorded.
Production outcome: No reduction in long-term laying potential anticipated.
